Langley
English Learning SaaS Platform
Overview
Langley is a full English-learning SaaS platform built for Alex, a Russian edtech founder and language educator. He needed more than a course site — he needed an operating system for his teaching business.
Problem
Alex was running his teaching business across scattered tools — separate systems for lessons, exercises, grammar drills, student tracking, and teacher management. He needed a single unified platform where students could learn, teachers could author and manage content, and administrators could oversee everything, all under one roof.
What Was Built
- Multi-role authentication and access control — separate experiences for viewers, students, teachers, and administrators, with self-registration and admin approval flow
- Lesson bank and exercise bank — reusable content modules that teachers assemble into course flows
- Grammar bank with its own dedicated exercise engine — separate workflow from the main lesson system to keep grammar drills isolated
- Rich text editor with markdown-style shortcuts (auto-bulleting, numbered lists, arrows, em-dashes) for teacher content authoring
- Admin dashboard for course composition, exercise templating, and user management
- Dark orange and charcoal design system, engineered for extended study sessions
